Jule was one of the finest men on the planet. I'm grateful that I got to know,fish, and confide in him. The pic in the opening of this thread was the last time I had him in the boat. I don't think we cast more than a couple dozen times that day. It wasn't fish we were after. RIP brother.

This morning I was looking through fbook memories and on a photo I'd posted four years ago, Jule had commented. Made me think about him and how he's missed. I had to come back here to give this a bump for his memory.

I haven't been back very often. But I came back and saw this. I apologize, but this a little emotional for me. I met Jules for lunch one day after I told him I had quit drinking, and he gave me his AA handbook. I didn't know he was dying.

I told him, I thought when I quit I would feel good. He said "surprise!". But then he said you will I'm time.

He was a good man.

Man, he was just plain old good people. Congrats on being sober. The other day a memory popped up and I saw a comment from him. I miss Jules and his random fbook messages that were always positive.
